2014 News

July 12-13, 2014 - Bass Tackle Depot/Delta Outdoors Open

Eighteen anglers made it to this years Delta Open at Piper Point Marina (formerly Beacon Harbor) for the 2014 Bass Tackle Depot/Delta Outdoors Open .
This year we mixed things up a bit and fished a sundowner Saturday evening, launching at 3pm and coming to weigh in at 9pm. Sunday we launched at first light and fished the morning bite.

The tides were rippin, and the Delta was it's usual windy self this weekend and limits were hard to come by. Consistency would be the key for the top finishers.

Jeff Wilson used his trusty drop shot to put together two solid limits, of 12.68 lbs Saturday and 14.80 lbs Sunday, to take the win with 26.98 pounds. Jeff also had the day 2 big fish, and big fish of the tourney, with a nice 5.16 pounder to anchor the victory.
Finishing in second place was Taylor Capilla with another pair of limits, at 8.72 lbs and 12.96 lbs, for a total weight at the end of the weekend of 21.68 pounds.
Taking the third, and last, paying position was Scott Rouhier with 8 fish over the course of the weekend for 15.46 pounds.

The day one big fish money was earned by Rob Linden with a 3.94 pounder to take the cash!

Congrats to all the top finishers!
